taking a break and then coming back really put into perspective how frustrating the spawn system is, and beating hoe is a matter of luck first and skill second i used to play the game non stop due to new game syndrome but after taking a step back and looking at things now that the luster of a new game wore off, i can safely say that ive hesitated to boot up this game again. i dont think ive ever denied jim's skill as a player and certainly agree with him on this spawn system. The exception of course in this list was Powercore Holdout, but I never see that map picked because of how trash the spawns are. There is simply nowhere to go if zeds get through. Lockdown is one of the worst maps in the game because of this. Maps like Lockdown, Powercore Holdout, Biotics Lab, Containment Station and pretty much anything else like these are picked far less by players because of how you'll camp the same spot every game, and going outside of that said spot is suicide because the zeds will just spawn on the opposite side of the door. Piccanose původně napsal:Lol, people think it's a skill issue. Players typically vote for these types of maps because they have good areas to hold, and reliable kiting routes to take that need to be used efficiently. A lot of areas in the map give you some time and space to push through, with some exceptions of course depending on where in the map. Maps like Burning Paris, Nuked, Spillway, Zed Landing, Evacuation Point, and a few others are much more fun to play because of this reason. Find people that enjoy Lockdown and I'll bet they are in the very small minority there. It's a problem that makes many maps a lot less fun than others. And kiting has a lot of luck in it, since you may or may not get stuck in a doorway depending on what spawns there. Getting trapped by bad spawns would involve the enemies just spawning at that door already, enforcing the camp meta on most maps. Getting good would involve knowing the spawns so that you need to push through a door quickly before the zeds get to it. Simple fix would be moving the spawn volumes further away from doorways and corners. Obviously, people are annoyed by it and think it should be adjusted. Stop trashing each other when clearly Jim and many others have made countless threads on this issue. Sometimes the spawns can just screw you because of how they are placed. Jim isn't a bad player, I've played with him before. You'd need to be very lucky or have every medic boost in the world (or be Berserk) to survive that. Either by the fleshpounds pushing you into a corner, more enemies, or just combo attacks before you can escape. It doesn't matter how good you are at the game, if you have fleshpounds spawn around a corner you need to kite through and it happens to be 3 raged ones (RNG is cewl) then you will most likely die because you will get stuck.
